What We Do
Pro Bono Consulting
JHGCC provides our member with opportunities to work on pro bono projects with real-world clients. These projects are designed based our client's needs, and qualified candidates are selected to match the desired expertise to work on the engagement team. Our selected members have delivered recommendations that have helped clients improve top-line and bottom-line performance through various strategies. The clients we have worked with range from multinational companies to local non-profit organizations. As our members gain valuable experiences through our engagements, we strive to provide free, optimal strategic solutions towards the objectives set forth by our clients' need(s). Please find more information on initiating a project with JHGCC Pro Bono here.
JHGCC organizes frequent events and seminars to help our members develop relevant business consulting skills and knowledge. These include resume workshops and lectures from our distinguished alumni. Furthermore, we offer several opportunities for members to refine their approach towards completing case studies, an essential component of the recruitment process for consulting firms. During summer, members can participate in the Round-Robin Case Interview Practice with their peers. During the academic year, JHGCC's Biweekly Case Study Workshops provide our members with the opportunity to learn about the different types of problems that they may encounter during the interview process and eventually as consultants. Finally, throughout the year, JHGCC hosts informational sessions with several local as well as multi-national consulting firms.
JHGCC initiated its case competition series in 2011, and has successfully established 2 major annual events: (1) JHGCC Fall Case Competition- an event organized in the fall for fellows in the Johns Hopkins community, and
(2) JHGCC Healthcare Case Competition - an event in the spring open to fellows at Johns Hopkins and other major universities around the world.
Through our case competition series, we provide our members with opportunities to practice solving real business problems to hone their consulting skills, as well as network with consultants from top consulting firms and peers with similar career enthusiasm.
